Our behavior modification and training focus on reinforcing desirable behaviors, avoiding the reinforcement of undesirable behaviors, and strive to address the underlying emotional state and motivations that are driving the undesirable behavior.

The LIMA code - LIMA is an acronym for the phrase “Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive”. LIMA describes a trainer or behavior consultant who uses the least intrusive, minimally aversive strategy out of a set of humane and effective tactics likely to succeed in achieving a training or behavior change objective. LIMA adherence also requires consultants to be adequately educated and skilled in order to ensure that the least intrusive and aversive procedure is used.

Like all things in life, dog training is a journey of experience. No two dogs in NYC are fully identical in their personalities, demeanor, and motivation factors. Every class and every encounter is an enriching experience. At LovePup Training, our professional dog training mission is to be your bridge in communicating with your unique furbaby.
Personalized In-Person Private Training
Training techniques and practical exercises can be learned in a class setting. However, many assumptions have to be met for the group class setting to insure desired results.
In contrast, private and personalized sessions with a certified dog trainer allow for specific catering of training plan to your specific needs, highlight unique focus areas, and promptly correct undesirable reactions. Being able to start training in the safe environment of home is an added bonus for your furbaby to master the lesson before demonstrating in the "real distracting world".
